Boiled Wool Hand-Loomed Embroidered Pillow Cover

This 19.5" x 15.5" hand-loomed linen pillow cover is finished with an overcast satin stitch to match the embroidered boiled wool appliqué. A treasured Hungarian heirloom, boiled wool was used inside vests and was re-purposed as a decorative pillow cover during the 19th century. It has tie closures, and the boiled wool design reverses to a natural linen side, also edged in a boiled wool detail. This decorative piece is machine washable. Inserts are sold separately and we recommend our 17” x 24” designer style overstuffed inserts to make this into a decorative pillow that will bring any room a spot of beauty.
